Where we are today

What we are building
The essentials, given plainly
We keep it simple and physical: the things a family runs out of first. Diapers, formula, clothing, food and the everyday essentials that a small child needs. These are the four things we are working to provide well before we do anything else.
Formula & baby essentials
Formula, bottles, bath and changing supplies — the ordinary items a newborn needs every single day, given without conditions.
Clothing
Children outgrow everything, usually in the wrong season. We want clean, season-appropriate clothing available for kids as they grow.
Food
Groceries and pantry staples for households stretched thin, so a mother is never choosing between feeding herself and feeding her child.

About us
A new foundation, an old need
Tiny Steps Foundation was started because the need around us is quiet, close by and rarely spoken about. Mothers go without so their children do not have to, and most of them never ask anyone for help.
We are in our earliest days. We are assembling volunteers, partners and the first round of support, and we would rather build this alongside our community than announce it fully formed.
- Listen first, and never make a mother explain herself twice.
- Answer every request with a real person, not a form letter.
- Stay with a family past the crisis, for as long as they want us there.
- Be open about what we raise, what we spend and what we have actually done.
